A visit to Maplewood Flats Conservation Area, North Vancouver - Vancouver Child Photographer

We took a morning a week or so ago to explore at the Maplewood Flats Conservation area, my lovely bird watching uncle got us on to this place when he came for a visit earlier this year and it is a fantastic peaceful spot to explore.. we found lots of crabs (LOTS) and saw a deer.. we managed to bust out some math with shells and sticks and physics with balancing rocks on some random beach wood! I was hoping to spot a Kingfisher or an Eagle, but maybe the boys are too noisy for that :D

I came across this quote recently and it really resounds with me in raising my boys...

"Don't climb on that. don't break anything, don't be so aggressive, don't be so noisy, don't be so messy, don't take such crazy risks.
But God's design which he placed in boys as the picture of himself is a resounding yes.
Be fierce, be wild, be passionate"
